Prosecco DOCG
Prosecco is the world’s most popular sparkling wine, an Italian excellence that has its heart between the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, the most famous production centers, a splendid example of that wine-growing landscape in which nature and the hand of man find perfect symbiosis.
Prosecco Superiore DOCG has a straw yellow colour that can vary in intensity, brilliance and perlage. The nose and flavours vary between the dry versions, which are drier and more delicate, to the softer versions, with a sweeter taste and more intense floral and fruity notes. A common feature is a light and elegant nose that gives a deep sense of harmony to the palate.
Cartizze
The heart and excellence of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG production area is a small hill called Cartizze located in the municipality of Valdobbiadene. Here the homonymous sparkling wine with DOCG certification is produced.
This top-rated wine has a brilliant, shimmering platinum yellow color in the glass. The bubbles are wonderfully long-lasting and fine in the glass. If you swirl the wine glass, this sparkling wine is characterized by an extraordinary lightness that makes it dance lively in the glass. Hints of apple, ripe pear and, among the flowers, those of lime, wisteria and almonds can be recognised in it, expressing fruity and floral notes on the nose. The perlage is fine and persistent.
Not Only Prosecco
In addition to Prosecco, in the Prosecco Hills also Marzemino and other grapes are cultivated, which produce rare wines full of body and character.
Refrontolo Passito, a dessert wine, from grapes partially dried on the racks, of a beautiful deep ruby red color, moderately sweet, rich in aroma and flavors.
Torchiato di Fregona, a meditation wine produced from aromatic grapes left to dry until spring and pressed in manual presses. It ages in oak casks, the taste is full and rich.
Colli di Conegliano, white and red. The velvety and aromatic white wine, matches with appetizers, main courses, white meat and fish. The red wine, full of body and character, is suitable for aging.
